Love says “I will hold your hand” even if I don’t know you
Love is impenetrable
hell can only surround it
Love says even though
you are not my blood
you are worth spilling mine
Love says
I make not empty promises
but strong aspirations and
I need you
to see that I’m trying.
Love says
you gotta start somewhere
but trying ain’t enough 
Love says I deserve better than words coated in broken glass

is not brick shaped syllables
or thoughts you should have crafted better
Love is not the needle but sometimes the needle looks more like
Love than what’s around you
Love understands that, but knows you deserve better
Love is the strength pain left behind
Love does not leave you
Love says I only confuse you when you do not pay attention in which case I do not confuse you
If it is not Love
it is just junk mail that hugs well.
Love has your name on it
and your name is not ‘Resident’
Love is not that mountain you dread, but the peak waiting
Love says you will find it
Love is the heaven of endurance
it is the silence and the sound
Love says speak up they can’t hear you from inside you
Love says just because you deserved to be loved for who you are doesn’t mean you deserve love as you are.
Love costs change, and it will never be tricking if you have it.
Love is a work in progress

Love is not a metaphor for anything you’re just putting to much thought into it
Love is too busy giving to make a promise it cannot keep

Love says there is no meme, abbreviation or cute ass misspelling good enough to say it if it’s real
Love is not guilt, it does not handcuff
Love is the simplest recipe since the sandwhich
Love says I can’t tell you why I can’t look at you
Love says I can’t stop staring
Love says you do not take my breath away you I had just been saving every other one for you
Love is chaos when you want it catalogued or easily referenced, by the way love cannot be catalogued or easily referenced
Love says to deny me is to kill both of us
Love resurects those willing to die for it
Love does not kill anyone afraid of it, that’s called fear
Love will release every breath you have ever held hostage
Love says give your blood sweat and tears as libation for those who Loved you enough to shed theirs
Love says laugh at something or with someone;

and when you get to where you cannot stop

Love is like post-delayed defication euphoria because it feels so good after all this time to just let shit go

and everyone will want to dance with you
Love says this would not have been a poem about love if it didn’t mention dancing

the sacrifice of ego

offering of your pain
Love is the apology you must be able to make as well as accept.
